very slow as well and would also like to upgrade or get
more memory, please help me

Thanks

I believe before you can upgrade to XP your computer MUST be a PENTIUM 3 or
better.

No, that's not correct. One of my computers running XP here is a
PII-400.

I've ran XP with a 768mhz Celeron and it ran very well.

Agnes, while the minimum requirements for running XP are easily met, the
resulting performance may not be up to your standards, depending on the
programs you choose to run.
Post back, and tell us your processor speed, memory size, and hard drive
size.
We can advise you which ones should be upgraded in order to improve current
performance as well as graduate to XP successfully.
Please post back soon.

First make sure the hardware is adequate: if it is slow on ME it quite
likely is not. You want most importantly to have plenty of RAM - more
than the 'officially recommended 128MB', say 256MB. WIth a 400MHz
processor as a minimum - more if you want to run multimedia things, and
at least 5GB of disk space going free.

If you meet that, consult Gary Woodruff's article on upgrading to XP at
