Microsoft Word

I'm using Windows XP and for some reason am having
trouble downloading microsoft word. Any suggestions?

You may not "download" Microsoft Word, you must purchase it at a store or
online. Now if you mean "Install" Microsoft word please post in the Word
Newsgroups.

1. What version of word?

2. Clean out your temp files first and close your 89 running background
programs from running before you try to install that app.

3. Check your system for spyware and remove all of it.

The only trouble you can be having downloading MS Word is that you
can't seem to do it. This is because Word is not available for
download.

Now, if you ARE downloading it, you must be doing so from a USENET
newsgroup, IRC channel or Webpage offering a pirate version. If
that's the case, I suggest you ask THEM, and not ask here.
