I've been trying to figure this out for hours now.

In microsoft word, when typing, at the end of a page I am
accustomed to just hitting enter to get the next page.
for some reason, when I hit enter nothing happens.
so . . . I tried inserting a page break, and a next page,
but this really messes up the pagination.

why isn't my program just going to the next page when
I've finished typing on the previous page?

helllllp!!!

Thank-you

The way you are thinking is not the way Word works. Normally you should
not concern yourself with page breaks, or if you must force them, then
you have to put them in yourself. Let Word do pagination.

Word will move the next page only when the page is filled with text, OR
you put specific page break (Ctrl-Enter) or some sort of section break
(Menu: Insert/section break).

when you press Enter in Word, you add a CarriageReturn which in word is
a paragraph break. It will only go to the next page if you have filled
up that page with text.

Suggest you discuss this further, if req'd, in the newsgroups
specialising in Word, or read the Help file a little more closely.
