Dear User

I need some help. I've got Window XP with my new PC. But I do not appear to have Microsoft Word. Instead I have Microsoft Works. The problem is that even when I try I am unable to save my my documents as " .doc
I am currently unemployed and need to send Cvs around. However, many employers ask me to re-send the CV in Word because thy are unable to open it
My question is does XP come with Microsoft Word or do I have to buy and install it. If it does come with XP, then how do I open it. I have tried everything

Many thanks and kind regard

George;

XP does not come with MS Word. Microsoft Works Suite 2004 comes with MS
Word 2002.
Microsoft Works does not.

In addition to what Wesley said, I don't believe that the word processor in
Works can save a document as a Word type file. Have you tried doing a
"Save As" then click on the line "Save as type" (if there are such options
in the Works word processor program. Sorry I don't have Works to check.

Greetings --

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), nor Microsoft Works have _ever_ been "part" of *any*
Windows operating system. They are, and always have been, separate
applications, that must be purchased and installed separately.
