Microsoft Suspected Spyware Reporting Tools Fails

M

Mike Mast

After using the Suspected Spyware Reporting Tool to report
the fact the Microsoft AntiSpyware does NOT remove Aurora
adware, I get the following error attempting to submit the
report:

An error occured submitting the san results. Please check
you [sic] Internet proxy settings and try again.

This is the only Internet based application that fails to
connect to the Internet, so I don't think there's a
problem with my proxy settings.

Andre has posted correct information--the reporting tool failure is a bug.

On the basic issue--have you tried the scan and removal in save mode? I've
cleaned Aurora by hand, and know it isn't easy. There are multiple
variants. I know Microsoft Antispyware detects some of the variants, but am
unclear how successful it is on removal--they do need to hear that this
isn't working. Posting here helps with that.
