Microsoft support for Windows XP MCE 2005 SP2?

ainHello,

I tried to "contact Microsoft via e-mail" concerning Windows XP Media Center
Edition 2005 rollup2, and was given a page that says

Assisted Support for this product has either ended recently or will end in
the upcoming months. Please visit the Microsoft Product Lifecycle Web site
for more information.

When I looked at the product lifecycle page for this OS, it says mainstream
support for Windows XP MCE 2005 will be retired on 4/14/2009. I think it's
still 2007, and I am wondering if anyone knows why I wouldn't be able to send
an e-mail requesting support on MCE, when it's nowhere near being sunsetted.

Thank you.

Media Center Edition (MCE) is an OEM product. Unless your are the one
who is assembling/selling the MCE PC, you must contact the company/
person who sold you this MCE. OEM versions do not "benefit" from
direct Microsoft support, if you are the "end-user."
