Microsoft Strategic Commander (missing hidusb.sys)

B

Brian

I have purchased a Side Winder Microsoft Strategic
Commander. I installed the software on a hard drive that
had a fresh copy of Windows 2000 installed on it with
Microsoft updates. I connected the device when the
software asks me to and I got an error message stating
that hidusb.sys is missing.

Please Help,
Brian

Same Exact Problem

Hi Brian, my name is Rob. Just wanted to let you know that I am struggling with the same problem right now. What other steps have you taken to fix this? I found something that said you have to have that specific file in C:\Windows\System32\Drives, and also that you could get the file from an OEM win 98 CD. Not sure what else to do about it. My specific problem is for a Wacom Tablet that I just bought. Now that I think about it maybe the manufacturers website would be another good place to look for a solution. Anyway good luck and hopefully we can both get our problem fixed somehow.

See ya
Rob
