Microsoft Spyware

I downloaded and ran the Microsoft Spyware and it did not
detect any files. I then ran another program I have from
Lavasoft called Ad-Aware SE and it detected 14 "tracking"
files. Are settings I should have or is the Microsoft
beta product just not that good?

Richard;
This version of Microsoft AntiSpyware is not intended to detect cookies so
those results are normal.

Cookies or not, this product is designed to look for
spyware. It misses a ton of adware. Don't give up your Ad-
Aware program. You need it and the anti-spyware program to
keep your machine clean.

I experience the same problem. Ad-Aware SE detecting 14
items and MS Spyware 0 (after a deep scan).

Microsoft Antispyware, in the builds released so far, doesn't scan for
cookies. I believe this will be included in a later beta.

This is a beta and not a complete program. Please do not stop using your
other ant spyware programs.

No one program does it all anyway.
