I have been using Microsoft Outlook 2003 Professional on my home computer for
about 2yrs. I have Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service
Pack 2 as my operating system. About 2 weeks ago I started having problems
with Outlook. I am getting this pop-up after it TRIED to open the program
“Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window. The set
of folders could not be opened.†I uninstalled all of Microsoft 2003
Professional and reinstalled. (2 times) Did not help. All other programs are
working fine. Also I am beginning to have Outlook 2003 problems with my
laptop (9 months old). Vista working system. Can someone please offer a
solution?

Uninstalling is rarely of any help
Locate the repair tool, scanpst.exe and run it against your data file

DL,
Thank you for the information. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. It
did help (some) but did not completely solve my problem. What I finally had
to do is delete all my e-mail accounts (in outlook) and then re-enter them.
This did solve the problem.
Again, thanks for taking the time to answer my request.
