Upgrading Microsoft Outlook 2003

I am attempting to upgrade Outlook 2003 to 2007, but when I insert the
Microsoft Office Small Business 2007 disc for upgrading, there is an X over
the Outlook option, indicating that it is not available. My old version of
Outlook (2003) is not working properly and an error message appears that
says: "Cannot Start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or wrong
version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software.
Please reinstall Outlook." I believe this happened when I first attempted to
upgrade from 2003 to 2007. Any help with this problem would be appreciated.

Click the X and change it to "Run from My Computer". What happens now?

Only one version of Outlook can exist on a specific WIndows partition. It's
best to uninstall any prior version before installing the new one.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your response. I attempted to click the X and it still reads
unavailable. There was no option for "run from my computer".

As for uinstalling Outlook 2003, can I do this without th actual discs. I
have no idea where they are now. Also, I was able to upgrade to Office 2007
minus Outlook; will these programs be unistalled if I attempt to uninstall
Outlook 2003? Thanks.
