MIcrosoft Optical Mouse

Ever since upgrading to windows XP my optical moues has
been sluggish. Ive tried changing all the settings,
upgrading the drivers etc but the problem is still there

Tried reloading the mouse driver software?

Also, check your "Pointer Speed" option. This is in Control
Panel/Mouse/Pointer Options. That's assuming you have installed the mouse
software. Depending on the brand of mouse, it may be labeled slightly
differently, but it's there.
