I bought a new PC with Office Standard Edition 2003 from Circuit City and
when I try to open a word document file the system ask me information that I
do not have ( Product Key,..).What I have to do?

You should have received disk(s) with Office and other pre-installed
programs and Windows on them when you bought the computer. The Product Key
will be on the disk or the box it came in. If not go back to Circuit City
and tell them you want the restore disks.

With out them when (not if) something happens and you need to re-image
your computer you will be out of luck. Never buy a computer without them.

At the very least get the key from them.

database program in Office Professional. It appears your question may not
be related to these subjects. The Microsoft help system is not all that
clear and may have misdirected you here.

It is best to ask your questions in a newsgroup dedicated to the
subject of your question. You should find people better able to address
your problem there.

Note: It is always best to indicate the name and version of any
program(s) you may be using when asking a question and also indicate the
operating system (like Windows XP or 98) when you ask a question.

It sounds likely that you were dealing with an unscrupulous dealer. AFAIK,
all pre-installed software should have been activated and you should get the
CDs for repair / reinstall.

I would go back to the store and resolve the matter ...
