Microsoft Mouse driver 6.2 Magnifier

I have an Intelimouse Optical USB mouse. I think the driver for it
was 5 when it came out but I never installed a driver as it works with
XP out of the box.

I recently bought a Comfort Mouse 3000. It comes with driver v6.2
It is a 4 button mouse and the mouse wheel tilts. The 4 button is a
magnifier.

I am wondering out loud if I can download v6.2 from Microsoft and load
it for my Intelimouse? The Intelimouse has 5 buttons. It would be
very useful to me if I could reassign the 5 mouse to use the
magnifier.

Has anyone tried this?

From what I see it's offered for it but I don't know if it will work out properly
or not.
