Microsoft Management Console

I have been experiencing a lot of programs crashing a lot
recently (mostly Microsoft applications) when more than
one are running at the same time. When I tried to look at
the errors in the Event Viewer, I got the message that the
Microsoft Management Console was corrupt or missing.

Would this explain all the crashes that have been
happening? And if so, is there an easy way to re-install
the MMC or Windows?

You will find the instructions to performa repair installations of Windows
XP at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;315341&Product=winxp

A succesful repair installation will not wipe out your files or require
re-installation of your other software programs.

Good Luck
