For the last two days every fewseconds awindow pops up with 'How to get
started with Microsoft internet explorer'. no matter how many times I close
or minimize it, it just keeps coming back, how do I get rid of it PLEASE!

Isn't there somewhere a checkbox with "Show this next time you log on",
that you should uncheck?

Not on the screen, how would I access it?

If the Internet Explorer tour keeps appearing constantly, and you can't
turn it off, maybe it's time to scan for spyware.

Note that Ad-Aware and Spybot-S&D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
