So what are you doing? Arguing against your own position by pointing me to
sites that indicate that computing is going to be more server-centric using
thin clients to access the services?

The latest edition of Open Office is certainly as "good" as Office
2002............

I like Open Office and it's what I use on my computer because it does
most of the simple stuff that I need it to do. But I have had one
experience where it is actually better to use MS office - printing labels.

That's odd, I print envelopes in OpenOffice all the time. Sure beats
writing out all the envelopes for bills...

Like I said, I like Open Office, and I use it instead of MS Office. But
the first time I tried to print labels, this is the problem I had:

http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=43743&highlight=labels+help

The directions in the Help menu were inaccurate, and even when I went to
the forum to search for help and found these directions, I still
couldn't see a preview of the labels I wanted to print. I just found it
frusterating, and it gives me the feeling that even though I went
looking for the answer beyond the help file, most people new to Open
Office probably would not bother. I love OSS and I am a big advocate of
it, but I'm not going to lie when there is another tool that does the
job better or easier. In this one situation, I found that to be the case.
