Microsoft Digital Image Pro 9 - Resizing a photo

I'm not sure I'm posting this in the right place but am hopeful that someone
can help... How do you "resize" (make it bigger for example) a picture in
Digital Image Pro? I used to use Picture It and as I recall you simply
selected the picture and then dragged it into a bigger size. Now in Digital
Image Pro, I see there is a "resize picture" tool but for the life of me I
can't figure out how the darn thing works. I have found that through the
"crop canvas" tool that I can select the entire picture and then enlarge it
to some extent by dragging, but not fully. Where this is a particular
problem is when I scan a picture into Digital Image. It comes in small on the
canvas and then I have no way of enlarging it to cover the canvas fully.
Anybody help. Thank you very much...

Resizing an image in DIP9 is accomplished
by going to...Format / Resize Image...enter
the new size / Done.

When scanning you could try the following...

Most scanners have an advanced mode
where you can see a preview of the scan
and make various adjustments to scan
quality. In this mode you should be able
to left click / drag a selection box around
the portion of the image you wish to scan.

In Digital Image Pro...with my Epson I
go to...File / Import Pictures / Epson
Twain 5 / My Scanner Software / Scan.

Also there should be an option to set
the size of the finished scan. Entering a
large size like 8x12 or something similar
will prevent you from having to greatly
enlarge the finished scan an lose all your
resolution.

In DIP9 you can make the Object Handles
appear around an image with the following
steps.

Left click (select) the image.

Edit / Unlock.
