resizing photos

I have Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10, I want to print out some pictures 3.5
x5 and 5 x 3.5. How do I crop the pictures to come out to that size? When I
try to crop them now, some come out the correct size while others are either
to small or too large? Thanks in advance.

By "too large or too small" I mean I am randomly cropping the photo to get
just the part that I want out of the photo. These are horse pictures that I
am trying to get just the horse into the photo and crop out the background.
I will have to try your suggestions and see how it works. Thanks John you

Hi John, it's been a while, been busy with the horses. Thanks for the tips,
I got it to work. Has Microsoft come out with any new photo software?

The only thing since Digital Image Suite 2006
Anniversary Edition are the options included
in Vista.

You can download and install Windows Live
Photo Gallery on an XP machine if you would
like to try it but IMHO it's not worth the effort.
