Microsoft Cordless Mouse

I have been considering buying a cordless optical mouse and
have just read this review of the Microsoft K80-00038.

It's not very flatering and claims that not only is the
Intellipoint software not uninstallable, but will conflict
with other optical mice. Currently I am using a Microsoft
Optical corded mouse with the Intellipoint software. Will
I have problems if I install a Logitech cordless mouse? I
would like to know prior to purchasing. Thanks.

You shouldn't have a problem. Just uninstall the Intellipoint software
from the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel (it is entirely
possible and supported). Install the software that comes with the other
mouse and you are good to go. Also, it should work even with
IntelliPoint installed.

The Intellipoint software is definitely uninstallable.

As for mouse software, you should only be using one at any given time.
Running multiple mouse software will almost definitely lead to conflicts.
