Microsoft Automatic updates

Blair

I recently was notified of 7 updates which I downloaded but two of them keep
appearing again for downloading. I have carried this out twice and it still
shows them requiring to be downloaded
The two are KB832483 and KB837001
Any ideas?

Hi,

Click start/run and type %windir%\windowsupdate.log, then click ok to open
this file in notepad. Scroll to the bottom, look at the last section that
deals with the most recent visit for any error codes related to the install.
These are usually in the format of 0x00000000. Please post back with this
information, or if there are none, please state so.

Copy/paste just the relevant portion of the log, do not attach it. If you
are unfamiliar with using copy/paste, please ask for details.

I produced a Zipped file which is only 64Kb. When I copied it and opened the
reply email I found that 'paste' was greyed out

Hi Blair,

Open the log file as I previously described. Using your mouse, put the
cursor at the start of the relevant portion of the text. Depress and hold
the left mouse key and drag it over the section we want. Release, then hit
ctrl+c to copy it. Open a reply to this post, click in the message text
area. Hit ctrl+v to paste it for review. Send it.

I have copied part of the file as I don't know which is the appropriate
part. The two reference numbers I have do not appear on the list. Could you
clarify please
