Updating Windows problem-help!

I have a situation where I get a balloon message saying that there is
updating required(I have arranged for auto updates but inform me first)
There were 4 updates KB832483, KB837001,KB891781and KB3826939. I duly
downloaded them and was informed that the downloading was successful.
But subsequently the balloon message appeared again for the same downloads.
I checked the history and was informed that they had been installed
To make sure I went to the Microsoft Web site and downloaded form there.
With the same result.
How can I stop this happening?

Many thanks for your help. Unfortunately this site does not cover my case as
the updates are downloaded successfully and are listed in the history site
as downloaded. The message then appears again that updates are ready to
download for my computer.
I can only assume that they are downloaded in fact and the trigger message
is wrong!
Any further suggestions?
I did think of deleting the automatic downloading so I won't see the message
every time I bootup but that would not be a final answer
