Microsoft AntiSpyware - Not Responding

I downloaded MSAS and everything ran fine. After the
scan, I continued with removing the unwanted items. At
some point MSAS stopped responding. Everytime I try to
run MSAS, it will not open. I check in Windows Task
Manager and it shows that MSAS is not responding. Can
someone help.

This is a problem I have noticed in many post and I have not seen any direct
alternate solution to such an issue. Best recommendation would be to
uninstall and reinstall to a non-defaul location such as c:\msas. Also are
you logged on to the computer as an Administrator? Which build are you
running, .501 or .509?
