"Microsoft AntiSpyware Alert"-pop-up scrolls up and out of the screen

Hello.

When I double-click (execute) on a '.scr' program I get a
pop-up with the header "Microsoft AntiSpyware Alert" and
in the message it states: "An unknown script file
attempting to run requires approval.. a script
file ... .scr is trying to execute....What would you like
to do..<Allow> <Block>

The problem with this pop-up is that it is impossible to
click any of the two buttons (allow or block) since this
popup quickly scrolls (moves) from the bottom of the
screen to the top of the screen and then dissappears. I
can still see the popup when I press alt-tab (I have a
microsoft alt-tab power-tool installed), but when I
select it using alt-tab, the pop-up does not re-appear
again. I've tried this a few times over several weeks
(hoping that an update would fix this) but the problem
remains.

I have Windows XP, service pack2 upgraded to the latest
patch. An AMD-64 processor, ATI-Radeon 9600.

There is a new build .509, available at the download center which you can
reach via:

http://www.microsoft.com/spyware/software

However, it doesn't fix this bug.

The bug happens if your toolbar is on the left or right side of the screen.

It does not happen if your toolbar is at the bottom or top of the screen.

There is one other possible workaround. Some have found that using the XP
powertoys alt-tab replacement applet, you can alt-tab to the individual
messages and make the choices involved.
