Microsoft Access can't open the mail session. Check your mail .. e

I am working on a WinXP machine where I have a access 97.mde application
running but when I use the macro to SendObject I receive the error above. I
have installed Office 2003 but left my Access 97 intact on the PC. My
application opens properly but I cannot send the message. My internet
explorer is pointing to Lotus Notes as the default email program. I searched
the interenet and found a resolution on Microsoft as follows:Delete the
following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Common\MapiDLL . I did this
but no help. I cannot find any information on this problem. Please help if
you can.
