license for it on this machine.

I have the Microsoft Office 97 Professional Edition

Currently running Xp Home edition as i have bought a new

That was the first thing i did before i came to the
community board.

Still had no luck.

Could you find out anything else for me because this is a
total pain in the ass to put it nicely.

Appreciate your help and assistance so far.

This does not help me, have tried and it still tells me
the same error message even after restarting computer.

Any other advise would be appreciated with details of
" How To in basic user Language "

Thanks in advance.

There are 2, or 3 solutions in that link. Which one did you try?

Did you try and download the utility, and run it?

The other solution is to remove ms=access, and then remote the hatten font.

However, I would first try using the utility, as you just have to run it,
and thus saves you having un-install access97, and then re-install it.

The error message should go away...

Did you try the AcLicn97.exe utility?

tried the AcLecn97.exe and still no joy. Did what was
asked.

Tried to find hatten font in search and it could not be
found.

Have unistalled and reinstalled access97 and still no
joy. it just loves me and windows XP

Microsoft should just have a exe solution to solve this
problem for XP then i would download it and it is fixed.
so easyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for me anyway.

any other ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

1) That's the BookShelf Basics registration.
2) From your e: drive. Why is it trying to register
from your e: drive? is the file on your e: drive?
Do you have registry permission on your PC?

This is a strange one, and you would never expect the
solution that actually fixes it to fix it.

Check out KB 141373. It will have you rename the
hatten.ttf font file, reintall office, and then rename the
font file back again.

Good luck!
