Microphone

Hi
Have just purchased a new Dell PC with XP Home pre installed, however, the
microphone is not working. Is there something I can do to test the mike to
make sure it is OK or is there some other way of double checking software?
 
To test the microphone: Open the Help and Support Center and see 'To set up a microphone'.

I had found it once and was hanged if I could remember where!! Tahnks again
your prompt was most helpful! It revealed Dell had given me a duff mike
which has now been replaced!
