Hello

I have been using Skype for some time with no problems.
Recently I have had a problem which keeps reoccurring.
The microphone keeps switching itself off. I can hear OK but cannot be heard (some would say thats a good thing)!!
I open the control panel then sounds and audio devices. In the advanced control box there is:
1 Mic Boost
2 Mic 2 Select.
If either of these boxes are ticked the microphone does not work. Unticked works OK.
The problem arises when I am on Skype and the 1 Mic Boost automatically ticks itself.
As far as I am aware nothing has been changed or altered on the system. Skype is on my laptop running Win XP Pro.
As always any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have a feeling that there will be a a setting within the Skype settings that will auto-enable mic boost. I don't use it myself, so I don't know where to find it, but if you do some digging I'm sure it will be there.

Perhaps another Skype user on here will know :)
