MIC PROBLEM

ok here is my problem. i am using teamspeak and if people dont know its a
program where you can talk to people online. ok so i have a mic and when i
talk to people i can hear myself in my speakers and its annoying. how can i
get it to stop. i tired turring off the mic and then i cant hear myself but
neither can my friends. so can anyone help me please

Did you try MUTE in the soundcard's control section? Using a SoundBlaster,
I see that choice here - by double-clicking the speaker icon at the
bottom-right of the screen (notification area).
 
i tired all that stuff and i still cant get it to work. i still hear myself

Interesting. Works as you wish here. Confirm that the speaker is plugged
into the SPEAKER OUT jack of the sound card.
 
yes everything is pluged in right. for some reason its doing it now.
yesterday it didnt do that
 
Hi Johny
Had a similar prob with a new headset - I have an Asus Mobo and Realtek
Audio Manager.
I was advised to ensure that the Acoustic Echo Cancellation was enabled -
that got rid of hearing my own voice in the headphones & the speakers.
