listen to mic in while happening

i m interested in listening to the mic in while it is happening, i can play
the mic in back after recording but i want to hear it while being input, i am
connecting my mic in to a headphone out in an amplifier and want to hear the
music while playing a vynal album

I'm not sure how you would do it, but it would likely be a bad idea due to
feedback issues.

Use line out from the amplifier, not headphone out and use line in on
the soundcard, not mic in.
