Messenger

Running XP Pro on a dual boot w/98SE. Whenever I open OE, Messenger shows up
in the systray. I really do not care to even see it.
In OE > Tools > Options General tab, Automatically logon to messenger is
unchecked.
In OE > Tools > Windows Messenger > Options > Preferences tab, nothing is
checked.
In Group Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows
Messenger, Enabled both settings Computer/User configs.
Open OE, Messenger still appears in the systray even after reboot. Is there
any way to at least hide it if not get rid of it. I understand the slow
opening issue but really don't care about Messenger.

One last note, my mother has XP Home and it does not show on her machine. Is
home different than Pro in regards to messenger.
