messenger wont show contacts as blocked ?

and prompts to re add all contacts everytime i start
program the red x-out does not work on conatact names ,
and all contacts that are blocked become unblocked whe i
restart the msn messenger 6.2 program...does anyone know
what is up, i contacted msn , they dont know thier
response was we are looking at it.

Its probably a problem with your account on the SERVER side,
I dont think its a problem of your installation of messenger.
Try creating a NEW passport (hotmail, msn, passport) account and using that
for some time to see if things work correctly.

yyes it is account specific, i have other logons and it
doesnt happen only one log on account , ..is this a
virus?, i did uninstall it and reinstall and the prblem
still occurs, cant see block red x icon , although you
can axually block people with trying twice!!! and on each
start of msn 6.2 alll the ones youhad blocked are
unblocked and you get 1hundreds of grey prompt bocxes to
re-add all your contacts in a scrambled way, some are on
my list some arent some are just very old

its not a virus. The contacts are managed by a server on the microsoft MSN
messenger network. Sometimes the server gets mixed up. I have a contact for
example that I have to unblock each time I log in.
You can try contacting microsoft, or posting your question on the
microsoft.public.windowsxp.messenger newsgroup
