messenger pop ups

How can I disable the microsoft messenger pop up ads that
keep appearing on my screen? I don't use the messenger
service and would gladly kill it all together.

Although you can disable it, that is not recommended; you should use a
firewall.

However, this newsgroup is for MS Access, the database product. I suggest
