When i go to email-outlook expressa window pops up inviting me to use
"messenger"-annoying. How do i delete Messenger from my PC? i find nothing
in the control panel that suggests "Messenger."

You do not say what OS you are running but, if it is XP then see
support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb302089
