Messenger and icon

Just installed SP2 and it went fine. I'd like to remove Messenger
like I did in SP1. I remember there was a small file on one of
the XP tweak boards that got rid of messenger when you ran it.
Could anyone tell me what tweak page I might find a similar
file to remove Messenger from my puter.

And is there a way to get rid of the security alerts icon in the
system tray? Or is that a no no?
