I use Winxp Pro, SP2 & all updates. Zonealarm & Kaspersky.
My daughter uses Windows Messenger frequently to chat to friends, until
today I'd never had a problem with that.
Today I started getting chat popups from her friends but I had not logged
into Messenger, it's not on my Startup list & has never happened before
today.
When this was happening there was no process running for Messenger & no icon
in the 'Desktop tray' (The section bottom right of my screen). The
Applications tab in Windows Task Manager showed Messenger as running but
once again I had not started it & had not logged in. When I closed Messenger
in Task Manager the Icon appeared in the
