Messenger 6.2 Problems

D

I'm having some problems signing in with MSN Messenger
6.2. About three days ago, Messenger stopped signing in.
It would act like it was about to sign in, but would just
go back to the sign in options screen; no error messages
or nothing.

I tried checking for updates, uninstalling and
reinstalling, checking connection settings, disabling
anti-virus and firewalls, and the like. Nothing helped.

I also made sure that my Passport was good; I signed in
to Hotmail fine, and I can even sign in to Windows
Messenger. But MSN Messenger doesn't like me. Any
suggestions?

Greetings Dudeman,

You may need to completely remove your Messenger settings and then try again. To do so,
click Start, then Run,
then type:
%appdata%\microsoft
and click OK.

Right-click the MSN Messenger folder and choose Delete. After all this, restart Messenger
and see if the problem has been corrected.
