please help with msn messenger 6.2 sign in. I'm desperate!

Hi. I have windows xp home, and msn messenger 6.2. It had worked flawlessly
until today.
When I sign in, I put my password and messenger gets stuck. If I put the
mouse pointer on top of the msn mssgr icon on the taskbar it says "signed
in". I do not get any error messages. Messenger just gets stuck and displays
my contacts but it's frozen. I can't click on anything. I read the same
problem above, tried the answer posted but it didn't work (deleting folder
and registry key). Norton is not scanning MSN messenger.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Windows messenger
still works.

Please help me, I really need to use msn 6.2 and I'm desperate.
