Messenger 4.7

I've recently reinstalled XP and downloaded all the updates, etc. I also
run MSN 6.2 but for some reason when I run XP and before I load up MSN 6.2,
if someone send me a message I'm getting it through Messenger 4.7. I can't
find it in my add/remove programs to uninstall. an someone tell me how to
remove it please?

Try Add/Remove Windows Components in the Add/Remove Programs section!

Running Both Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger in Windows XP

You can disable "Windows Messenger" as follows:

Open "Windows Messenger" and from the Toolbar select
Tools > Options > Preferences and uncheck:

"Run this program when Windows starts" and
"Allow this program to run in the background", then
click OK.
