Messages when Opening Outlook 2003

Previous I used Outlook 2002. I Configured Outlook 2000 to open going
directly to the INBOX. When I opened Outlook 2002 It opened to the INBOX
and, automatically performed a SEND/RECEIVE connection. I now have Outlook
2003, I configured it to go dorectly to the INBOX when I open Outlook
2003....but....Outlook 2003 does NOT automatically perform a SEND/RECEIVE
connection.

I have looked all thru the the Options Tabs and if there is a setting to
make it automatically do a SEND/RECEIVE when you open it...I can't find it.

Is there a etting? If so, please provide instructions.

Thank You

If you go into your Send/Receive Settings and tell Outlook to perform an
automatic send/receive every XX minutes (10 or more minutes recommended), it
will check for new mail at startup too.
