E-Mails Automatically; right away when opening Outlook

Previous I used Outlook 2002. I Configured Outlook 2000 to open going
directly to the INBOX. When I opened Outlook 2002 It opened to the INBOX
and, automatically performed a SEND/RECEIVE connection immediately. I now
have Outlook 2003, I configured it to go directly to the INBOX when I open
Outlook
2003....but....Outlook 2003 does NOT immediately automatically perform a
SEND/RECEIVE connection.

I have looked all thru the the Options Tabs and if there is a setting to
make it automatically, immediately do a SEND/RECEIVE when you open it...I
can't find it.

Is there a setting? If so, please provide instructions.

It does that when you have it set to check mail every 5-10 minutes. Do not
schedule for less than every 5 minutes or it won't work. It will load all the
addins first, then check the mail. Tools>Options> mail setup> Send Receive
button> Schedule an automatic.....
