opening the in box

How can I set up my microsoft outlook to automatically "receive" new messages
when I first open it. I don't mind clicking on the send/receive when I'm in
the inbox and reading my messages, but I would like to automatically receive
new messages when I first open up the outlook. Any suggestions. If it can't
be done, then so be it. Thanks.

In your Send/Receive settings, make sure it's set to do an automatic
send/receive every 30 minutes or so.
