MESSAGES STUCK IN OUTBOX

Jude

My son has tried to send a 40 slide presentation to himself at his school.
This seems to be stuck in the Outbox and I am unable to delete it. When I
tried I got "an unfortunate error has occured" message. So I am able to
receive messages but not send them. Can anyone please tell me a (simple) way
to resolve this? Cheers

A fix as been released by M$ to resolve the problem of undeletable mails:

"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista"

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

**It works for all folders.**

Shawn,
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

I have talked to my ISP, I have talked to Geek Squad, I have posted several
queries on this board and others...
but YOU are the first one to give me the real solution!

I, too, have not been able to send emails.
I can receive them, but ever since my computer performed a critical update
(SP1) 3 days ago, I have not been able to send.
The messages just get stuck in my outbox!
I can delete them, so my problem is not identical to Jude's, but your
solution worked! I went to the tutorial and turned off email scanning from
my anti-virus program.
When I opened Windows Mail (Vista), it immediately sent all the messages I
have been trying to send for the past 3 days.

That patch link that everyone keeps giving out to others experiencing this
problem?
IT DOESN'T WORK.
Especially if your computer is fairly new or you have updated recently.
That patch is a year old and when I tried to download it, it said I didn't
need it.
So, I hope others who are experiencing this problem read this thread.
Thanks again & Jude, I hope it helps you as much as it did me!
