Messages Deleted from Sent File

Good Morning: I cannot figure out to stop my sent files from being "deleted"
to the "big delete in the sky" (smile). When I delete a sent file it does
not go to my delete file, it goes someplace that I can never find them?

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance for any help!

I have one: give us details like Outlook verison, account type, and exact
steps to reproduce the issue. What do you do? How do you know it's gone?
What views are you using, both in Sent Items and in Deleted Items? Do you
have AutoArchive enabled?

I am using Outlook 2007, an MS Exchange account. If I delete a file from my
inbox (after reading it) it does not go to my "delete file"; it appears to be
permanently deleted. Subsequently if I delete a file from my "sent file" it
also appears to be permanetly deleted as it does not go to my delete file.
But, if I delete a file from my "Junk Folder" it goes to my delete file
(these are files that I do not open, for the most part).

Hopefully this is a better explanation.

Thanks again for any assistance/help.

What views are you using on Inbox and Sent Items?

Good Morning:

On my Inbox the view is set to: Messages
On my Sent files the view is set to: Messages w/Auto Preview

Thanks, June

I would expect you to use the Sent To view in the Sent Items folder.

Since this is when using an Exchange mailbox, you should be working with your
IT department to resolve this.

Brian: They haven't been able to help me, so as a last resort, I tried to
post a message here, in the hopes that someone might be able to help me.

But, I guess not.

Off hand, I can't think of anything that would cause this. Try starting
Outlook in safe mode (hold down the Ctrl key while starting Outlook) and see
if the same thing happens there. If it doesn't then it's likely some add-in
is causing the problem.

Brian: I restarted Outlook in "safe mode" and the same condition occurs. I
sent an email message, then went to my sent file and deleted it, it went
somewhere, but did not end up in my delete file.

I'm not sure what is happening and my computer is the only one that is
experiencing this problem.

One other question if I may, what is "RSS Feeds"?

Thanks so much for your patience.

Unfortunately I'm stumped. Did you try a new mail profile? A new PST? How
about Help>Office Diagnostics?

Hi Brian: Thanks for trying to help me. I have run the Office Diagnostics
and it says I was missing a file, so I've clicked on that & I'll keep
trying. Thanks for the RSS link. Again, thanks for your patience.

Regards, June
