message when I open outlook 2002

Everytime I go into my outlook it gives me the message - The data file
"personal folders' was not closed properly. Then it runs a program that
takes several very long minutes to runs. I am closing my outlook correctly
everytime I leave and don't know what it is giving me this message.
 
After you close Outlook, check with Task Manager (Processes tab) if
Outlook was indeed closed. If not, it may be an add-on that prevents
Outlook from closing completely. If this is the case, try starting
Outlook in Safe Mode (Start -> Run -> outlook /safe) and see if this
will let Outlook close completely.
