Message stuck in Outbox

I have a message stuck in my outbox that I cannot do
anything with. Particulars:

Message created on-line
Messages shows as italics
When I try and delete, nothing happens
When I try and open, I get a dialog box that says "Can't
open this item. Outlook has already begun transmitting
this message."

I sent it two days ago and it still in my outbox. I am
always connected to the Internet.

Checked knowledge base and cannot find a way to delete
the message.

Ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance for the help.
 
Try right clicking on the message and move it to another
folder and then try deleting it. If the message was never
sent, like the problem that I was having, see the message
I just posted before yours.
 
Nope. Tried that. I'll right click and go through the
motions and nothing happens. The message doesn't transfer
and there is no dialog box that would indicate something
is wrong.

I did see your post and tried that thought too.

What version of Outlook are you using? Have you tried switching to Offline
mode and see if you can delete it then?
 
Try hitting the send / receive button on the tool bar.
See if it will send the message.
