Message Rules stopped working

About two weeks ago, all my message rules stopped working. My rules are to
sort incoming emails into different folders and to delete emails with certain
words. I have tried running each of the rules seperately, but that does not
work either. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
Did you look at Tools, Message Rules, Mail, and make sure each rule
has the blue checkmark in front of it?
Make a new test rule and see if it works.
Some third party security software programs interfere with rule saving.
 
Thank you for your response. Yes, all the rules have a blue check. Is there
a limit how many words you can use in the rules to delete the emails?
Perhaps that's the problem?
 
I'm not aware of a limit, but as I suggested, create a new (simple) rule
and test it. If the new one works then you know the old ones are corrupted.
