I have specified that if the subject includes the word "VIAGRA" or "Viagra"
or "(c)" or who knows how many other things to "Do not download from server",
Delete it", "Delete it from server", and every possible variant I can think
of. I do not want these messages downloading to my computer. Since the "Junk
Mail Folder" can not be set to automatically empty on shutdown and the
"Delete Folder" can, these message have to be physically deleted. Setting the
"Permanently delete suspected junk e-mail instead of moving it to the Junk
E-mail folder" causes mail from wanted, but unknown, e-mail addresses (such
as companies I may be doing business with) to disappear, so I cannot check
that box.
Also, despite checking the boxes to prevent all mail from outside the US
from being downloaded, tons get through. I have had mail with Russian,
Japanese, Greek, and other alphabets show up. And the "Block Domain Name"
does not work very well. I check a messages properties for the domain name,
so that I do not add real servers (i.e. hotmail.com) to the blocked list.
All of the above also applies to Windows Office Outlook and Hotmail.
