Message received chime

Hello all,
I would sure appreciate if some would be able to tell me how to adjust
settings so that a chime sound is made when a message is received in my inbox
so I can know when I am in another part of the room to check. Thanks you so
much for your help.

Right click the speaker icon
select 'Sounds'
the sound in question is 'New Mail Notification'
pick some sound file that you like


I recorded a sound 'New mail has arrived' with sound recorder, then I
directed the 'New Mail Notification' to that recorded sound. The original
'ding' was not sufficient to get my attention from another room.

You also need to insure that Tools/Options/General tab has "play sound when
new messages arrive" selected.
