Message format

Hi,

I read on the internet that you must compose in Rich text to send meeting
requests and task requests. Is that true? And do you know why that is?
Also, why would I want to compose in HTML?

Task requests, yes. Meeting requests, no, since Outlook supports iCalendar
for Internet calendar infomration exchange.

Many people find well formatted HTML messages easier to read than plain
text.
