When reading messages in windows Mail Newsreader (such as this group), I
cannor read messages that have replies, I get an error message:

Message could not be displayed
Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again.

Anyone got a solution?

thanks.

First try rebooting, the low memory error could be from corrupted memory for
whatever reason (programs not shutting down and releasing the memory back,
etc).

Another cause could be a corrupted database for WinMail. Hopefully the first
will cure it.

I had this problem once too. I never found out how to read the message, but I
did find out a partial fix, to keep it from appearing as an unread message in
the inbox: Just right click on it and choose "mark as read." From what I
understand from other postings here, the real nightmare comes when one of
your OUTGOING messages decides to do this. Then it stops ALL your outgoing
mail from being sent! Whew, hpe that doesn't happen!
